Our Team of Family Solicitors
Harrington Family Law was founded in 2012 by Victoria Harrington. The firm expanded gradually with the addition of our experienced family solicitors who share a passion for providing personalised and compassionate legal services to clients going through difficult family situations.
Victoria Harrington
Victoria founded Harrington Family Law in 2012. She is a long standing member of Resolution and is a specialist Family Solicitor.
She has been in practice since 1993, focusing on relationship breakdowns, ancillary relief, children disputes, and domestic violence cases.
She has represented clients from various backgrounds and is deeply connected to the Cleckheaton, Birstall, and West Yorkshire communities. Victoria works mainly in our Cleckheaton office.
Outside of work, Victoria loves horses and dogs, and enjoys spending time with her family.
Sarah Khanna
Sarah is a highly experienced Family Chartered Legal Executive and a Director specialising in family law matters.
With over 25 years post qualification experience working in West Yorkshire, Sarah is dedicated to representing clients in the region with a caring and understanding approach, particularly in complex private law Children Act proceedings, domestic violence, divorce, and financial settlement cases.
Sarah also sits as a Magistrate in the family Court in South Yorkshire which offers an insight from a judicial perspective. Sarah works mainly in our Brighouse office.
Outside of work Sarah enjoys keeping fit, spinning and walking her dog Willow who often joins her in the office.
James Skinner
James is a highly experienced Family Solicitor, with over twenty years of practice. He specialises in settling disputes related to financial consequences in marriages and relationships, employing innovative negotiation techniques to achieve fair and satisfactory settlements.
James is also well-versed in handling complex children’s cases, including those with international aspects. James works mainly in our Holmfirth office.
Outside of work, James enjoys cycling in the beautiful West Yorkshire countryside.
Linda Sandford
Linda is an experienced and compassionate Family Chartered Legal Executive, specialising in all aspects of Family Law.
With over two decades of practice and a pragmatic approach, she excels handling complex children’s cases, including those with international elements, as well as supporting clients who have suffered from domestic violence. Linda works mainly in our Brighouse office.
She also advises on financial settlements on divorce and cohabitation, and her approach of empathy and professionalism, makes her a trusted advocate at Harrington Family Law.
Megan Thackray
Megan is a qualified Family Solicitor who qualified in September 2024. She completed her undergraduate degree in criminology and psychology and obtained her law degree shortly after. She then went on to get a first-class master’s in law.
Megan assists our senior solicitors in financial disputes and children’s cases and also works on her own financial dispute cases.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending her spare time horse riding, running, and singing with her choir.
Katie Varley
Katie is a qualified Paralegal who specialises in family law. She has worked in family law for the last 3 years, having worked through a CILEX qualification after starting at the firm as a secretary.
Katie enjoys supporting Victoria, Sarah, Linda and James in financial settlement cases and works mainly in our Cleckheaton office.
Katie is deeply connected to the local town of Cleckheaton and Liversedge and surrounding areas, having grown up in the area. Having a calm welcoming manner with all clients, she is always happy to assist with matters.
Charlotte Broadbent
Charlotte’s interest in law began when she was just 14 years old, however having struggled at school, doing a degree was not something she thought was possible. After starting to study law at sixth form she quickly realised that law was a career she was passionate about. Charlotte has successfully completed her LLB Law Degree and is now completing her Legal Practice Course together with her Masters, as well as working part-time at Harrington Family Law.
Outside of work Charlotte loves to surround herself with her animals, as well as spending quality time with family and friends.
Jennifer Wolstenholme
Jennifer is a Legal Secretary at Holmfirth working with James Skinner and is currently completing her third year law degree part time.
She has always been interested in Law and is making this her career choice, but she brings a wealth a of commercial experience from being involved in a number of business interests outside the legal profession.
Outside of work Jennifer enjoys time with her family, and her dogs.
