Victoria Harrington is the Principal of Harrington Family Law. We are family law solicitors based in Cleckheaton, with a strong affiliation to Birstall, and Brighouse, West Yorkshire. We specialise in issues relating to the family.
Our solicitors and family chartered legal executives abide by the Resolution Code of Practice, a copy of which is provided to clients at the beginning of the case. Resolution aims to ensure that family disputes are conducted as constructively as possible and in a non confrontational manner; the parties are encouraged to try to settle cases at an early stage, and are encouraged to ensure that the interests of the children are kept at the forefront of negotiations. This approach has been shown to assist the family as a whole to emerge from the breakdown of relationships.
Having said that, there are some cases where litigation is unavoidable and in those cases Harrington Family Law provide robust representation coupled with sensible and pragmatic advice.

I am a mother of four boys who have all been to school in Birstall. As a family we have many friends in the village. My husband's family have lived in the Birstall area for over 40 years. In this time, working as a family solicitor and through our personal involvement with families in the community, (I was chair of Birstall St Patrick's Infant & Junior School PFA and my husband was a school governor for many years), I have developed a caring approach which I always seek to adopt in my work as a Family Solicitor.
